Birmingham City Council Parks Department is seeking to establish a Natural Capital Accounting system to better account for and manage the private, social and environmental goods and services the department offers; applying the Corporate Natural Capital Accounts (CNCA) framework and guidelines recently prepared for the Natural Capital Committee (NCC). Applying the CNCA framework, CEEP will establish a Natural Accounting System for Birmingham Parks Department; especially for the owned and managed land (Public Open Space) and related services offered by the department. The main outcome will be a balance sheet documenting private and external (social/environmental) assets and liabilities.
